NMAS Exterior Sign, 2017So, who are we?  We’re The National Museum of the American Sailor (formerly the Great Lakes Naval Museum).  We collect, preserve, and interpret the history of the United States Navy’s Sailor for the benefit of the U.S. Navy and the people of the United States. We’re located in the historic Hostess House, directly adjacent to the Main Gate of Naval Station Great Lakes, the home of the Navy’s only boot camp. The museum is an official Department of the Navy museum administered by the Naval History and Heritage Command. For information, including hours of operation and upcoming events, please visit the museum’s website or Facebook page.
